Northeast southward Dakota has a new circuit court arbiter

Tony Portra, magistrate referee for the 5th Judicial Circuit, was sworn in as a circuit court critic Monday. A formal ceremony will be scheduled in a month or brace Portra said.

Portra, of Aberdeen, was pickeded as magistrate in 1999. He is a 1987 Central High sect and 1994 University of southern Dakota School of Law graduate.

Gov Mike cylindricals called Portra on Friday and told him he had been appointed to assist the remainder of Larry Lovrien's bound Lovrien, whose eight-year term was to expire at year's cessation retired last month. In January, Portra will begin a filled eight-year term.
