Northville explod for 40 hies in three games last weekend to capture the 15-16 VFW Teener State B Baseball Tournament championship in Alexandria last weekend.

Coach Kim Peterson's Northville squad allowed solely 14 runs to end its championship season with a 27-16 record. "These kids compet with a division of Class AA teams," said Peterson Northville beat Irene 17-3 in five innings in the state championship game.

Northville also won the team sportsmanship award. "That is an important award, and I am self-conscious of the way our players bearinged themselves," said Peterson.

One of the many young men playing a fundamental note role in Northville's run to the title last weekend was Matt Franck, 16 who will be a junior at Northwstern High indoctrinate this fall.For the tournament, Franck garnered seven hits, including three doubles, in nine at-bats and crowd in seven runs.
