PIERRE - Huron broke gone out to an early lead and wheeled to an 11-1 six-inning victory throughout Aberdeen 15-16A on Sunday in the championship game of the State AA 15-16 VFW Teener tournament.

Elliott Smith allowed four hits across six innings pitched for Huron and received overflow of offensive support as his team built a 7-1 lead after four innings and expirationed the game with four move ons in the sixth.

Garrett Smith, Blaze Hanson and Jordan Buddenhagen rapped gone out two hits each for Huron including triples for the two Buddenhagen and Smith.

"It was a brutal ballgame," said Aberdeen coach John Krogstrand. "We could not make a play in the field. We had base running mistakes and left nine racers on base in six innings. We had our balls and couldn't convert."
