In all, 32 organizations are requesting a total of $1155481 from the city's promotion store about $495,481 more than packageed

The city has an estimated $660000 to give toward promotions, Aberdeen Finance Officer Karl Alberts told the council Monday. He previously estimated the amount to be $675500 if it be not that receipts were lower than anticipateed Alberts does expect the amount, which originates from the bed, booze and board tax, to increase after this weekend's quasquicentennial celebration.

Monday, the city council met with representatives from the Aberdeen Downtown Association and the Aberdeen Area Chamber of criminal converse Marketing, Membership and Sharing the Spirit committees.
